These Website Terms of Use explain how you may use wattcompany.co.uk (the “Website”). By using the Website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. About Watt Solar Company
The Website is operated by Watt Solar Company Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16367405.
You can contact us at info@wattcompany.co.uk.
2. What the Website provides
The Website provides general information about solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and the process Watt Solar Company uses to help homeowners assess whether solar may be worth exploring.
Information on the Website is provided for general guidance. It is not a technical survey, system design, final quotation, financial advice, legal advice or a guarantee that solar is suitable for a particular property.
3. Eligibility checks and preliminary assessments
Any eligibility check, desktop review or initial assessment is preliminary and is based on the information available at the time. Results may change when further evidence is obtained or when a property, roof, electrical installation, access arrangements, energy use or other relevant circumstances are inspected.
Indicative savings, generation, performance, pricing or payback information depends on evidence and stated assumptions. It must not be treated as guaranteed.
4. Approved installation partners
Watt Solar Company manages the customer journey from initial eligibility assessment through appropriate survey, system design, quotation, installation and handover. Technical surveys, designs, quotations, contracts and installation work are completed by approved installation partners.
Where solar appears suitable, we work with approved MCS-certified installation partners selected against our quality and customer-protection standards. The installation partner is responsible for the technical accuracy of its design and quotation, its installation work, certification, warranties and the installation contract it enters into with you.
5. Commercial relationship
Watt Solar Company may receive a referral fee or commission from an approved installation partner where an introduction or managed opportunity results in qualifying work. You will not be charged an additional fee merely for using Watt Solar Company unless a separate charge is clearly explained and agreed with you in advance.
Receiving a referral fee or commission does not make Watt Solar Company the installer or a party to the installation contract.
6. No contract created through the Website
Using the Website, completing an eligibility check or contacting Watt Solar Company does not oblige you to proceed and does not create an installation contract. A contract for installation will exist only when you and the relevant installation partner enter into a separate written agreement.
You will not be asked to sign an installation contract during the first home appointment through the Watt Solar Company process.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and to tell us if important information changes. You must not misuse the Website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with its operation or use its content unlawfully.
8. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the Website and its original content, branding, layout, graphics and downloadable materials belong to Watt Solar Company Ltd or are used with permission. You may view and print content for your personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, republish, sell, alter or commercially exploit it without prior written permission.
9. Links to other websites
The Website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience and information. Watt Solar Company does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.
10. Website availability and accuracy
We take reasonable care to keep the Website useful and accurate, but content may become out of date and the Website may occasionally be unavailable. We may update, suspend or withdraw Website content without notice.
Nothing on the Website should replace property-specific technical advice or the documents issued by the approved installation partner responsible for the proposed work.
11. Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to those protections, Watt Solar Company is not responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on general Website information where a property-specific survey, design, quotation or professional assessment was reasonably required.
12. Privacy and cookies
